Role Purpose

To create exceptional user experiences for end-users by designing internal and external user-facing products that are useful and usable. Translate concepts and agreed ideas into artwork and designs that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design challenges, executing concepts and architecture that serve business objectives while delighting end-users.

Key Responsibilities

Design Strategy & Execution

• Transform business requirements of end-users into attractive and functional user experiences using clean and useful design and UI skills.
• Execute concepts and ideas that bring simplicity, elegance, and user-friendliness to complex design components whilst presenting a satisfactory user experience.
• Execute visual designs ensuring outcomes align with agreed concepts, commercial objectives and market trends.
• Develop low-fidelity to high-fidelity wireframes, storyboards, user flows, screen flows, sitemaps, and UI artifacts.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

• Partner in stakeholder interviews to recommend innovative solutions for product direction, visuals and experience to meet user expectations.
• Collaborate with line managers to translate business needs into UI interfaces that reflect product identity and meet user expectations.
• Work closely with product managers to decide on useful product features and create prototypes based on design principles, data and reports produced by UX Research Team.
• Present and defend design principles and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders.

Quality & Standards

• Ensure user-centered KPIs are validated during user testing.
• Produce and promote design guidelines, best practices and set standards in the specified scope.
• Educate, evangelize and advise others on designing UI.
• Provide necessary training and ensure certification in UX.

Research & Innovation

• Stay abreast with market trends and new technologies in the domain.
• Research and conduct comparative analysis with competitors to implement Lean UX and Agile methodologies.
• Recommend best practices and new methodologies.

Team Development & Process Improvement

• Collaborate with teams in significant technical discussions and open debates to source best solutions and practices.
• Improve workflow and continuously develop design systems in place.
• Perform any other additional duties as directed by the line manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5–8 years in UX design in B2B/B2C enterprise environment, preferably with Airlines/Aviation/Banking.
• Hands-on technical management, technical solution design, and architecture.
• Demonstrates exceptional UI/UX design skills with a strong portfolio.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to emotive, human-driven design principles.
• Very good understanding of commercial market trends and ability to transform them into design concepts.
• Experience working with technology platforms that are both internally and externally hosted.
• Familiar with Agile Development Methodologies.
• Capable of analyzing data, identifying pitfalls, and recommending effective solutions.
• Habit of keeping up with the latest technology trends in UI design and web application UX.
• Ability to work independently and juggle multiple UI/UX projects at a time.
• Detail-oriented with a sharp and artistic eye that recognizes fine art.
• Self-driven and passionate about delivering the best user interface experience possible.
• Proven soft skills working with stakeholders and peers.
• Exceptional qualities as a thought leader in terms of UX and Design.
• Employs technical expertise and interpersonal skills to execute new initiatives and achieve company objectives.
• Demonstrates ability to contribute and successfully deliver against business strategy and set KPIs.
