What these roles pay in Saudi Arabia

Four roles drawn from the biggest industries on this page, taken from Cooper Fitch’s 2026 Kingdom of Saudi Arabia guide — not from our own listings, since only about 1% of the vacancies we hold disclose pay.

These are market-wide survey figures, not offers on the vacancies above. Actual pay varies by employer, experience and negotiation — and the roles listed on this page may pay outside these ranges. The guide covers a set of sectors; where it has no data for a sector we hold roles in, no card is shown rather than a substituted one.

Working in Saudi Arabia — the questions people actually ask

Written for this country only. The same answers repeated across six country pages is what makes Google treat them as one page.

Do I need a job offer before moving to Saudi Arabia?

In nearly every case yes. Your employer issues the work visa and sponsors your iqama, and the employment contract is documented on the Ministry of Human Resources' Qiwa platform. GCC nationals are the exception and do not need a work permit.

How does Saudization affect my chances?

Nitaqat sets national-employment targets by sector and company size, so employers weigh every hire against their band. In practice it sharpens competition for entry and mid-level office roles, while specialist, technical and senior positions stay widely open to expatriates.

Can I apply for Saudi jobs while I am still outside the Kingdom?

Yes, and a large share of hiring works that way. Expect a video interview first and a direct question about your notice period, since project timelines in the Kingdom rarely wait.

What is the standard notice period in Saudi Arabia?

Sixty days is the usual figure for an indefinite contract paid monthly, with thirty more common on other pay cycles. Your signed contract governs, so read the clause before agreeing a start date.

Is salary in Saudi Arabia taxed?

There is no personal income tax on wages. Social insurance is deducted through GOSI, and the rate is not the same for Saudi nationals and expatriate staff, so compare offers on the net figure.

Which cities have the most vacancies on Uplift right now?

Riyadh carries the most, with Jeddah and the Eastern Province cities of Dammam, Khobar and Jubail behind it. The exact counts are shown at the foot of this page and are read live each time it loads.

Are the giga-project roles on this page real?

Every listing here comes from an employer's own careers portal, including the entities delivering NEOM, Diriyah, Qiddiya, the Red Sea and Roshn. We do not post speculative roles, and each card links straight through to the employer's application.

Looking across the Gulf?

Most candidates here search three or four markets at once. Each card carries its own live count, so nobody clicks into an empty page.
