Role Overview
UG Station/EES Inspector at AtkinsRéalis. Act as PMC field inspector covering both electrical and mechanical for metro station services, supporting Site Engineers to ensure D&B contractor's works meet approved drawings, ITPs, codes, and Employer's Requirements across overground and underground stations.

Role Purpose
To conduct daily site surveillance and inspection of electrical and mechanical works performed by contractors at metro stations, verify compliance with approved drawings, ITPs, codes and employer requirements, witness testing and commissioning activities, coordinate with civil works teams, monitor health, safety and environmental standards, and maintain comprehensive documentation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Site Surveillance & Checks
- Conduct routine inspections on works performed by the contractor for HVAC/ECS/TVS, fire protection (hydrant, sprinkler, detection), water supply and drainage, lifts and escalators, MV/LV distribution, lighting and UPS, earthing/lightning protection, and BMS/SCADA cabling and terminations.
- Record observations and raise NCRs where applicable.
- Verify ITPs/WIRs compliance, material deliveries, and storage/handling.
- Maintain QA checklists and test records per PMC policy.
Testing & Commissioning Support
- Witness local tests including pressure tests, duct leakage, and functional tests.
- Assist with FAT/SAT/IST witnessing.
- Compile evidence for acceptance.
Interface & Coordination
- Coordinate with civil works for access and penetrations.
- Check clearances and supports.
- Report interface issues promptly to Site Engineers.
- Log issues in ICD registers.
Safety & Compliance
- Monitor HSSE on site including hot works, elevated work, and electrical safety.
- Ensure adherence to NFPA 130 life safety features during installation, including smoke control paths and emergency ventilation readiness.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPRs), photo logs, and inspection reports.
- Support measurements and bill verification.
- Maintain punch lists and track closure.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–8 years in E&M site inspection for metro, preferably in metro stations.
- Experience with QA/QC checklists and design build workflows.
- Previous experience working on metro/rail projects is essential.
Skills & Competencies
- Multi-disciplinary E&M inspection covering both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Documentation and basic submittal review.
- Coordination with contractors and PMC engineers.
