Role Overview
Process Safety / Major Hazards Subject Matter Expert (TPE V) at Wood PLC, based in Saudi Arabia. This is a Technical Authority position across a portfolio of energy, oil & gas, mining, industrial and infrastructure projects.

Role Purpose
Lead technical assurance for process safety and major accident hazard management across multiple international projects. Serve as the recognized technical authority, solving complex engineering challenges, influencing clients, mentoring engineering teams, and driving technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Authority & Assurance
- Act as the Technical Authority across multiple projects.
- Lead technical reviews during Concept, FEED and Detailed Design phases.
- Perform independent design assurance and peer reviews.
- Resolve complex engineering challenges and provide specialist guidance.
Business & Stakeholder Management
- Support proposals, client workshops and business development activities.
Team Development & Standards
- Mentor young engineers and develop technical capability of the THSE team.
- Develop and maintain engineering standards and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer status is preferred.
- Minimum 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, or Industrial projects.
- Proven experience as a Technical Authority, Chief Engineer, Principal Consultant, Engineering Fellow or equivalent role.

- QRA (Quantitative Risk Assessment).

- IEC 61511 standard.
- IEC standards knowledge.
- OSHA standards knowledge.
- Saudi Aramco standards knowledge.
