TPE V/ Principal Civil Engineer

Wood PLC is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join its team in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Role Purpose

Execute assigned scopes of work in civil engineering discipline to deliver technical excellence and contribute to the development of engineering deliverables while performing routine engineering tasks under close supervision of experienced technical professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery

• Contribute to technical delivery of engineering excellence through executing assigned scopes of work in a specific engineering discipline.
• Perform limited assignments of specific engineering tasks, such as contributing to a minor phase of a larger project.
• Perform routine aspects of engineering assignments requiring knowledge of basic engineering standards using prescribed standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Deliverables and Documentation

• Assist in the development of engineering deliverables including philosophies, reports, specifications, calculations, data sheets, and technical requisitions.
• Emphasize documentation, monitoring, and carrying out basic calculations.

Collaboration and Problem-Solving

• Collaborate with experienced technical professionals for non-routine aspects of engineering assignments.
• Solve problems of a routine nature within clearly defined procedures with ready access to support and guidance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Typically 15 years of experience and above.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to comprehend, interpret and prepare applicable technical information.
• Ability to suggest design changes to ensure functional and cost-effective results.
• Capacity to apply academic knowledge to job responsibilities under close supervision of a more experienced technical professional.
