TPE V / Gas Compression SME

Role Overview

Wood PLC is seeking a TPE V / Gas Compression SME to serve as the Technical Authority across its portfolio of energy, oil & gas, mining, industrial and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia.

Role Purpose

Provide technical authority for Gas Processing and Gas Compression systems including compressors, gas turbines, compressor stations, Sulphur Treatment Technologies and package integration. Act as a recognized industry expert solving complex engineering challenges, influencing clients, mentoring engineering teams and driving technical excellence across major international projects.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Reviews

• Act as the Technical Authority across multiple projects.
• Lead technical reviews during Concept, FEED and Detailed Design phases.
• Perform independent design assurance and peer reviews.

Problem-Solving & Guidance

• Resolve complex engineering challenges and provide specialist guidance.
• Support proposals, client workshops and business development.

Development & Standards

• Mentor young engineers and develop technical capability.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or relevant Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Gas Processing, Petrochemical or Industrial projects.
• Proven experience as a Technical Authority, Chief Engineer, Principal Consultant, Engineering Fellow or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer status is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Gas Processing and Gas Compression expertise.
• FEED/EPC project experience.
• Vendor management.
• Knowledge of API, IEC and Saudi Aramco standards.
