Technician, Maintenance

Role Overview

Technician, Maintenance at ADNOC. The role is based in the United Arab Emirates.

Role Purpose

Responsible for all mechanical work and maintenance of Wireline/Slickline Units, Trucks, Cranes and Light Vehicles in the workshop and field. Ensure equipment operates safely, meets company standards, and remains in optimal working condition through scheduled and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair Operations

• Carry out all mechanical works and maintenance of Wireline/Slickline Units, Trucks, Cranes and Light Vehicles in the workshop and field.
• Perform monthly maintenance schedules for trucks, cranes and units.
• Conduct pre-job checks and after-job checks for all Wireline Units, Trucks and Light Vehicles.
• Travel to location and rig site as required to carry out repairs on units, trucks, cranes and vehicles.
• Ensure all heavy and light vehicles are maintained in good condition with timely service delivery.

Inspections & Documentation

• Apply and complete required checklists daily, monthly and yearly as per procedure.
• Review and verify that all Vehicle Checklists are properly completed by drivers on a daily basis.
• Collect technical data from the field as required.

Parts & Inventory Management

• Preview required Mechanical Spare Parts stock items and place orders in advance.
• Follow up with suppliers on orders, changes and upgrades for all units.

Reporting & Communication

• Report daily to Base/Field Supervisor regarding tool shortages, parts shortages, equipment deficiencies and safety issues.
• Provide input for the preparation of Method statements.
• Initiate Near Miss reports.
• Provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.

Training & Development

• Train field crew on proper operating procedures for mechanical equipment.
• Conduct training on routine checks and servicing for mechanical units.
• Provide on-the-job training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.

Tools & Equipment Management

• Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by the company safely and in working condition.
• Arrange for repair or replacement of tools and safety gear not in good working condition.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure all operations measurements and computations are carried out according to company procedures and standards.
• Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
• Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures.
• Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures and controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and Corporate Code of Practices.
• Ensure integrity and safety of assets.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Supply comments and suggestions to improve work quality for mechanical issues.
• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.

Housekeeping

• Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

Time Management

• Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
• Inform the Maintenance Supervisor if additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.

General

• Perform other similar or related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in technical field (minimum qualification).
• 3 years' experience in slickline units, light and heavy vehicles.
• Familiarity with maintenance procedures.
• Full competency in repairing and solving different vehicle defects.
• Full competency with company standards and operational procedures.

Skills & Competencies

• Basic knowledge of spoken and written English.

Additional Information

• Internal working relationships include regular contact with base supervisor, all drivers, and support from BAO or Mussafah workshop as needed.
