Technician

Role Overview

Technician position with Majid Al Futtaim Retail at a Hypermarket location in the UAE. The Officer – Facilities Management is responsible for maintaining store equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure smooth operations.

Role Purpose

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on store assets and equipment, monitor asset functionality, follow health and safety standards, and maintain accurate maintenance records while supporting store operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Operations

• Perform preventive maintenance activities according to the planned maintenance schedule.
• Carry out corrective maintenance and repair work on store assets and equipment.
• Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of maintenance activities performed.

Reporting & Coordination

• Report asset malfunctions and technical issues to the Facility Manager.
• Coordinate with external service providers to ensure maintenance contract compliance.

Compliance & Development

• Follow health, safety, and operational standards when conducting maintenance work.
• Participate in technical training and comply with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 0–2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, technician, or a related role.
• Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow maintenance procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and respond quickly to maintenance issues.
