Technical Training Senior Manager

Role Overview

Technical Training Senior Manager at Miral Destinations. The role delivers technical training to Miral Experiences Technical Services colleagues, ensuring they are equipped to perform preventive maintenance and inspections relevant to their trades and areas of responsibility.

Role Purpose

Identify, develop, and facilitate technical and safety training modules while updating them as procedures and requirements evolve. Collaborate regularly with management and technical teams to address training gaps, align training with operational goals, and maintain compliance with industry standards. Maintain accurate training records, track certifications, and ensure all team members meet required technical competencies.

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery & Development

• Facilitate and conduct technical training to Miral Experiences Technical Services colleagues.
• Develop and maintain all relevant training material including presentations, workbooks, and related resources up to date.
• Identify new or changing training requirements and develop training programs to meet them.
• Coordinate all external training with areas of responsibility.
• Mentor other trainers in subject matter, content, and course delivery techniques for assigned technical training.

Program & Content Design

• Design and write knowledge-based programs.
• Program and set up training modules.
• Deliver hands-on experience in designing, developing, and delivering technical training programs with a focus on preventive maintenance, safety, and compliance.

Administration & Compliance

• Support the administration and tracking of all training records.
• Ensure all administrative documents and reports related to colleague training and development are updated on a weekly basis.
• Maintain safe and healthy training environment by following Miral's standards and legal regulations, ensuring any maintenance issues are promptly reported and resolved.

Quality & Performance Enhancement

• Recommend solutions to performance challenges and identify areas for potential training enhancement.
• Research, recommend, and participate in professional self-development activities to continually grow professional capabilities.

Finance & Resources

• Assist the Technical Training Director in managing the training budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Oversee the procurement of materials, tools, and technologies needed to support training initiatives.

Leadership & Team Management

• Demonstrate leadership by guiding and motivating teams, fostering a positive work environment, and taking initiative to drive improvements and achieve goals.
• Work collaboratively with a team as required with strong interpersonal skills.
• Organize, plan, and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
• Recognized trainer experience in the area of expertise (Mechanical or Electrical).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in technical training, engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years in a management role, preferably in a technical or training-related environment.
• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and delivering technical training programs with a focus on preventive maintenance, safety, and compliance.

Desirable

• 8+ years of experience in technical training, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Recognized trainer experience in more than one area of expertise (Electrical and Mechanical).
• Practical skill and proficient knowledge in two or more trades, such as electrical, electronics, PLC, hydraulics, mechanics, or pneumatics.
• Advanced knowledge of technical training including preventive maintenance, safety protocols, inspections, and industry best practices.
• Proficient in the use of technical training tools, simulation technologies, and learning management systems (LMS).

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Instruct in front of large groups of individuals or provide one-on-one training as necessary.
• Read and understand various technical manuals, drawings, and circuits.
• Proficiency in various training and teaching methodologies.
• Exceptional communication skills and comfortable speaking to crowds.
