Technical Safety Engineer - UAE National

Role Overview

Technical Safety Engineer, Wood PLC, Sharjah, UAE. This opportunity is open to fresh graduates and experienced professionals with up to 10 years of experience. UAE Nationals are required.

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support operational excellence, safety, project delivery, and business performance within a dynamic and highly regulated Oil & Gas environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Maintenance

• Support daily operations, maintenance, engineering, or project activities within oil and gas facilities.
• Monitor operational performance and contribute to the safe and efficient execution of work.
• Analyze operational and performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.

Project & Execution Management

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing projects, shutdowns, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, documentation, and operational updates.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and HSE standards.
• Contribute to risk assessments, audits, inspections, and safety programs.

Stakeholder & Business Performance

• Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Support sustainability and innovation initiatives across the business.

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Participate in training, development programs, and knowledge-sharing activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Fresh Graduates (0–2 Years Experience)

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Chemical Engineering.
• Internship or university project experience within the energy sector is an advantage.

Experienced Professionals (3–10 Years Experience)

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• 3–10 years of experience within Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, or EPC sector.
• Experience in a similar role.
