Role Overview
Technical Office Engineer (E&I) position with Archirodon Group N.V, a half-century-established international Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor. The role is based on one of the company's projects in the UAE.

Role Purpose
Support the execution of Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) activities on site by preparing technical documentation, coordinating with engineering and construction teams, managing vendor interactions, and ensuring all work packages, schedules, and materials align with client requirements and project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation & Planning
- Prepare and review Method Statements, Material Approval Requests (MAR), and Material Requests (MR) for E&I activities.
- Prepare E&I work packages for construction activities.
- Prepare redline mark-up drawings reflecting site modifications and actual installation conditions.
- Develop E&I tie-in schedules for shutdown periods, ensuring all related drawings, documents, and materials are arranged to meet project deadlines.
Engineering Coordination
- Coordinate with the Engineering team to highlight and address engineering concerns in a timely manner based on site requirements.
- Verify 3D models and Material Take-Off (MTO) against approved specifications and raise deviation points to the engineering team.
- Issue purchase requests accordingly following verification.
- Conduct site surveys with vendors and provide required technical data to the Engineering team in alignment with Client requirements for E&I activities.
- Coordinate closely with the construction team to ensure smooth execution at site.
Vendor & Procurement Management
- Prepare and review Sub-Contractors Request for Quotation (RFQ) statements for E&I work activities.
- Float technical queries with the procurement department and vendors.
- Highlight to the procurement department if any materials received deviate from the approved MAR/MR or Approved Vendor List (AVL).
- Facilitate vendor drawing reviews, client interactions, and contractor/sub-contractor interactions.
Quality Assurance & Verification
- Conduct hands-on calibration activities prior to or after installation of devices at site for instrumentation.
- Witness and verify E&I activities with vendors and manufacturers to ensure system integrity and project compliance.
- Perform fault diagnosis and troubleshooting activities during construction and commissioning phases.
Reporting & Progress Monitoring
- Monitor and report daily progress reports on E&I work activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Electrical and Instrumentation work on engineering or construction projects.
- Extensive experience in vendor drawing reviews.
- Extensive experience in client and contractor/sub-contractor interactions.
- Extensive experience providing technical support to procurement and construction teams.
- Hands-on experience in calibration, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting activities during construction and commissioning phases.
- Experience witnessing and verifying E&I activities with vendors and manufacturers to ensure system integrity and project compliance.
- Strong coordination skills with various engineering disciplines including Civil, Mechanical, and Piping during project execution.
- Familiarity with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures.
