Team Leader - Grocery

Role Overview

Team Leader - Grocery at Majid Al Futtaim, Hypermarket Bahrain. The Team Leader Grocery is responsible for implementing quality, range and freshness standards to facilitate an exceptional customer experience in order to achieve set sales targets.

Role Purpose

Oversee grocery section operations to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain optimal team performance, and achieve sales targets through effective coaching, standard implementation, and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Pricing

• Oversee and implement the commercial policy agreed for the store pricing.
• Negotiate internal promotions with suppliers to enforce the image of discount inside the section.
• Provide input on the price image and freshness image.

Range & Assortment

• Oversee the products assortment in the section.
• Identify slow moving items and stock depreciation in order to help push their sales before expiry, if applicable.

Stock Management

• Ensure proper stock management including preparing stock reports, stock value, controlling out of stock, stock replenishment orders and merchandise deliveries.
• Oversee and implement initiatives to ensure lowest waste and shrinkage ratio and control waste items report.

Customer Experience & Performance

• Monitor the NPS in the section and work on improving areas that need development.

Team Leadership

• Motivate all team members to work optimally and address any problems immediately so that they do not impact customer service.
• Coach and develop team members to deliver exceptional customer service within the assigned section.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Commerce or Finance.
• 3+ years in Retail operations role.

Skills & Competencies

• Pleasant and warm disposition with a customer service orientation.
• People orientated and able to build team spirit and motivation.
• Action oriented.
