Team Leader - Bakery

Role Overview

Team Leader - Bakery at Majid Al Futtaim, Hypermarket Kuwait.

Role Purpose

The Team Leader implements quality, range and freshness standards in the bakery section to deliver an exceptional customer experience and achieve set sales targets. This role motivates the team to work optimally, addresses problems immediately to protect customer service, and coaches team members to excel within the assigned section.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Pricing

• Oversee and implement the commercial policy agreed for the store pricing.
• Negotiate internal promotions with suppliers to enforce the image of discount inside the section Promo-Book.

Assortment & Inventory

• Oversee the products assortment in the section.
• Ensure proper stock management including preparing stock reports, stock value, controlling out of stock, stock replenishment orders and merchandise deliveries.
• Identify slow moving items and stock depreciation in order to help push their sales before expiry, if applicable.

Waste & Shrinkage Management

• Oversee and implement initiatives to ensure lowest waste and shrinkage ratio and control waste items report.

Display & Merchandising

• Manage and control displays to ensure correct pricing and Planogram is implemented at all times.

Performance Monitoring

• Monitor the NPS in the section and work on improving areas that need development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Commerce or Finance.
• 3+ years in Retail operations role.

Skills & Competencies

• Pleasant and warm disposition with a customer service orientation.
• Clear communicator.
• People orientated and able to build team spirit and motivation.
• Detail orientated.
