Role Purpose
To lead architectural design on complex projects, influence design direction of major developments, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver innovative, client-focused solutions that create lasting community benefit. You will guide teams through the design process, balancing design intent, technical excellence, commercial considerations and client expectations, while mentoring emerging talent and strengthening design capability across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the development and delivery of complex architectural design solutions from concept through to implementation.
- Establish and champion the design vision for major projects, maintaining quality, innovation and technical rigour.
- Lead design reviews, feasibility studies and design validation activities.
- Apply emerging technologies and industry best practice to strengthen project outcomes.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with clients and project stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver exceptional outcomes.
- Provide specialist advice on architectural design, construction practices, regulations and industry standards.
- Contribute to winning work through technical input into proposals, tenders and client presentations.
Team Leadership & Development
- Support multidisciplinary teams, including BIM, technical and engineering specialists.
- Mentor and develop team members, sharing knowledge and fostering design excellence and continuous improvement.
- Supervise people and resources to deliver agreed outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or an equivalent discipline.
- Minimum 10 years' professional experience in architectural design.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex projects and managing design delivery.
- Experience supervising people and resources to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary project teams.
