Teacher - EYFS with immediate start at Aldar Education in Abu Dhabi.

Role Purpose
To deliver outstanding Early Years Foundation Stage education aligned with the English National Curriculum, implement effective strategies to raise standards and close learning gaps, and demonstrate leadership across collaborative team environments while upholding the school's vision, values, and commitment to high achievement.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Learning Development
- Develop and implement policies and practices for the department that reflect the school's vision, aims, commitment to high standards of achievement, and effective teaching and learning.
- Ensure that appropriate and relevant schemes of work are developed, in place, and regularly reviewed and evaluated for all year groups and courses.
- Ensure schemes of work include suitable provision for SEN/POD, G&T, and EAL students.
- Ensure curriculum coverage, continuity and progression in the department for all students, including those of high ability and those with special educational needs.
- Use data effectively to identify students who are underachieving in the department; create and implement plans of action to support those students.
Teaching Quality & Evaluation
- Evaluate the quality of teaching and learning in the department and use this to identify effective practice and areas for improvement; take action to further improve the quality of teaching and learning.
- Set expectations for staff in relation to standards of achievement and the quality of teaching and learning and behaviour.
Planning & Development
- Establish, monitor and evaluate short, medium and long term plans for the development of the department.
- Analyse and interpret relevant school data to inform policies and department/school SEF writing.
Enrichment & Support
- Ensure the department regularly contributes towards the school's CAS Programme and after school Booster/Revision Sessions for I/GCSE and IB DP courses.
- Commit to an extensive enrichment programme.
Team & Resource Management
- Performance manage team in accordance with school performance management policy.
- Deploy staff and resources efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain efficient and effective control of the Department's Resource and CapEx budgets.
- Create an effective and stimulating environment for teaching and learning through effective use of accommodation in accordance with Learning Environment Policy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience.
- Experience of the UK curriculum.
Skills & Competencies
- Secure knowledge of teaching the English National Curriculum.
- Proven track record of implementing effective strategies to raise standards and plug gaps in learning to ensure outstanding progress for all.
- Leadership skills and experience at a variety of levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team.
- Passionate and caring educator.
- Genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region.
- Close alignment with core values and ethos.
