Role Overview

Teacher Assistant - Healthcare Facilitator at ABIS, supporting students at the school site under teacher direction.

Role Purpose

Assist the teacher with small groups of students or individual students based on student needs, while providing primary support as a Healthcare Facilitator at the school site. Support the teacher with routine, clerical, administrative and non-professional duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

Student Support

• Assist the teacher with small groups of students or individual students based on student needs.
• Demonstrate rapport with the group to which assigned.

Healthcare Facilitation

• Provide healthcare facilitation support at the school site.

Administrative Support

• Assist the teacher with routine, clerical, and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Three years of full-time employment experience required.
• Minimum 60 semester hours of post-secondary credit or 2 years of academic training beyond high school.
• Prior experience as a healthcare facilitator or nursing background preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Good command of the English language required.
• Ability to type with reasonable speed and accuracy.
• Ability to operate duplicating machines, audio and visual equipment.
