Role Overview

The Tamara Builders Program is an early-career development initiative at Tamara, Saudi Arabia's first FinTech unicorn. The program accepts one application per candidate with multiple function tracks available, with cohorts starting in June yearly. Candidates can apply once and specify their preferred team or function.

Role Purpose

The Flagship Builders Program is a gateway for brilliant minds ready to kick-start their careers. Whether recent graduates or early in their careers with up to two years of experience, participants will do real meaningful work alongside some of the most ambitious people in the region. The program matches candidates with roles based on their interests and passions.

Key Responsibilities

Product

• Support Product Managers in shaping features used by millions of shoppers
• Draw on data and customer insight to explore areas for improvement
• Conceptualise new products
• Dive into a wide range of financial services, from personal banking to brand new fintech solutions
• Get hands-on with how a fintech unicorn builds products people actually love

Engineering

• Write code that ships to production
• Work alongside senior engineers on live projects, from feature builds to system improvements
• Gain mentorship and real production experience from day one

Design

• Contribute to real flows and interfaces used by millions of people
• Work closely with Product and Engineering to build seamless fintech solutions
• Dive directly into uncovering user needs
• Map out core user journeys
• Rapidly iterate through wireframes

Data

• Support analytics and reporting initiatives
• Help teams understand customers
• Measure impact of products and features
• Enable better decision-making through data insights

Commercial

• Sales: Help find, pitch, and sign new merchant partners
• Account Management: Help look after existing partners and grow those relationships over time

Marketing

• Support brand, growth, and campaign work
• Help reach customers and merchants across the region
• Get hands-on with how a fintech unicorn tells its story

Finance & Accounting

• Support month-end close processes
• Contribute to financial reporting
• Support audits
• Learn what it takes to keep a fast-scaling company's numbers accurate and controlled

Strategy

• Work close to the executive level
• Contribute to market research
• Support competitor benchmarking
• Work on strategic projects that inform decisions by Tamara's executive team
• Gain real exposure to strategic thinking at the highest level

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is desirable, but proven experience and capability are valued just as highly
• Up to 2 years of experience, including prior internships or co-ops
• Some exposure to your area of interest through coursework, internships, or projects is a plus, but potential matters more than a perfect CV
