Support & Implementation Engineer

Role Overview

Support & Implementation Engineer at ProgressSoft. The role provides high-level onsite and remote IT technical liaison for enterprise solutions implementations and support services.

Role Purpose

Implement enterprise solutions, provide technical support for incidents and issues, and collaborate closely with technical support and engineering teams at different levels to ensure customer success.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Installation

• Implement and install solutions at customer infrastructure platforms.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Work onsite and offsite to troubleshoot and diagnose customer-reported issues on different implementation layers.
• Act positively and respond promptly to customer requests and tickets.

Maintenance

• Conduct Preventive and Corrective Maintenance visits.

Documentation

• Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of technical documentation.

General Duties

• Perform any other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Science, Computer Application, or any related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar field.
• Experience with database engines: Oracle, MS-SQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with operating systems: Linux and MS Windows.
• Working experience with application servers: Apache Tomcat, Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere.
• Knowledge in Directory Services: AD and LDAP.

Skills & Competencies

• Developed knowledge in cloud Infrastructure Orchestration Tools, such as Kubernetes and HashiCorp Nomad.
• Knowledge and acquired skills of DevOps techniques including CI/CD, Helm, and Ansible.

Travel & Hours

• Willing to travel and work extra hours when needed.

Desirable Experience

• Experience in large enterprise environments with emphasis on payments and remittance solutions.
• Experience in Cloud Computing, Virtualization Technologies, Storage, and Network Infrastructure.
• Implementation experience of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Backup, and Recovery Strategies.
• Knowledge of PKI Infrastructure and Certificate Authorities.
• Knowledge of database engines: MySQL and NoSQL Databases.
• Knowledge of server and client operating systems: Linux Distros and MS Windows.
• Knowledge in Object Storage management.
• Knowledge of Security Authentication and Authorization Solutions: HashiCorp Vault and Keycloak.
• Knowledge in Cloud-based Solution Infrastructure: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OCI, IBM.
