Role Overview

Supervisor-IT Audit at KPMG. The incumbent will lead Information Risk Management in Audit (IRMeA), a specialist wing within KPMG's External Audit service.

Company Overview

IRMeA is a Specialist wing in KPMG's External Audit service. IRMeA Specialists provide support and assurance to the external audit team and the client that systems and processes linked to financial reporting are fit for purpose and controls around technology are operating effectively.

Role Purpose

To deliver quality assurance and technical oversight for IT audit engagements, ensuring systems and processes supporting financial reporting are fit for purpose and technology controls operate effectively. The role bridges audit teams and clients, translating complex technical issues into clear communication while maintaining service delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Delivery

• Conduct quality assurance on audits.
• Deliver the practice objective at the day-to-day level.
• Perform detailed review of work quality.
• Effectively control backlogs.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Communicate technical issues effectively to internal and external clients.
• Meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and deliverables for all clients as per engagement letter.
• Facilitate seamless transition of new projects and clients.

Process Management & Improvement

• Proactively highlight and resolve issues in processes.
• Effectively plan the implementation of changes to processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• CISA or CISM certification.
• Total of at least 4 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in IT Advisory, IT Audit Support, or Technology Risk Consulting in a Big 4 firm.
• Experience in a regulated environment preferred.
• Prior experience in a similar function in a Big 4 firm.
• Working experience in a Financial Services institution is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Detailed understanding of core business process cycles in Banking and/or Retail sector.
• Detailed understanding of technology touchpoints in processes and linkages to financial reporting.
• Thorough understanding of General IT Controls, ERPs (SAP or Oracle), Operating Systems, Databases, and ERP Analytics.
• Basic knowledge of Cyber Security, Business Continuity Management, and Emerging Technologies.
• Basic knowledge of Data Analytics.
