Subcontract Administrator

Role Overview

Subcontract Administrator at KBR. This role is part of the corporate Supply Chain group and focuses on the full range of procurement and administration activities associated with subcontracting work.

Role Purpose

Ensure the execution of all procurement and administration activities associated with subcontracting work, managing the complete subcontract lifecycle from pre-award through file closeout while maintaining high quality standards and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Subcontractor Management

• Qualify subcontractors
• Serve as liaison between subcontractor and project manager

Procurement & Proposal Process

• Issue requests for information (RFIs)
• Issue requests for proposals (RFPs)
• Perform commercial evaluations of proposals
• Negotiate subcontracts

Subcontract Documentation

• Prepare subcontract documents and amendments
• Identify and include flow down requirements from the prime contract
• Issue properly authorized awards and subcontracts

Claims & Closeout

• Resolve subcontractor claims in a timely manner
• Handle cradle to grave subcontract management from pre-award to file closeout

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree and at least two years of directly related subcontracts experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Federal Government contracts and subcontracts experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or closely related fields

Additional Information

• Experience with Deltek (CostPoint) preferred
• Experience with commercial and/or defense contracts and subcontracts highly desired
