Role Overview

Store Manager at Majid Al Futtaim, MAF Retail Hypermarket, Oman.

Role Purpose

Ensure flawless execution of assigned tasks within the store while driving retail operations to maximize sales, profitability, and stock management. Deliver best-in-class customer experience and business growth. Develop people by securing second line leaders and engaging and retaining the workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Execution

• Manage resource availability to serve customers and match customer flow in the store.
• Execute stock, shrinkage, and waste management within the business cycle.
• Deliver flawless execution of marketing, human capital, and digital services in the store.
• Maintain overall store maintenance through progressive maintenance and proper asset management.

Customer Experience

• Meet and interact with customers to understand their preferences and enhance their experience (NPS).
• Demonstrate expertise in fresh food handling, including hygiene, quality, and display.

People Development

• Train and develop teams to meet customer requirements.
• Build and secure second line leaders to manage retail operations.
• Engage and retain the workforce within the store.

Strategic & Competitive Analysis

• Understand the competitive landscape and suggest improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
• 5+ years relevant experience in a similar role.
• 2+ years experience in Retail Business.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong people and negotiation skills capable of easily building relationships across all levels.
• Strong and pragmatic problem solving coupled with analytical capabilities.
• Highly organized with strong multitasking skills.
