Role Overview
Store Manager at Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle, operating Crate and Barrel. The Store Manager is fully accountable for daily store operations and workforce in line with overall business objectives.
Role Purpose
Achieve sales targets, manage and develop store teams to maximize profitability, maintain brand and company image, ensure operational compliance, and deliver an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Experience
- Ensure the highest levels of customer service are delivered by the entire store team at all times.
- Coach, train and mentor the store teams to enhance customer service levels through brand and product knowledge and overall understanding of retail.
Sales & Profitability
- Create innovative approaches to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and enhance profitability.
- Track brand performance, reviewing stock levels and monitoring best sellers and slow-moving stock in order to generate ideas and action plans to increase overall sales.
Operations & Compliance
- Plan, organize and execute in-store processes including cash intake and cash handling, stockroom and stock-take administration management.
- Ensure all Company Health & Safety, Security and Compliance policies are adhered to, raising any concerns to the Excellence and Compliance team in a timely manner.
- Maintain overall accountability for compliance of subordinates with established company policies, procedures and standards, including keeping of funds and properties, personnel practices, security, sales and record keeping procedures.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting
- Provide critical analytical feedback to the Operations, Buying and Planning Departments in relation to product, ranging, pricing, competitive activities and opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- 4 to 5 years' industry experience with managerial background.
- Proven record of maximizing business performance.
Skills & Competencies
- Good understanding of main customer segments and ability to help team understand them.
- Identify critical paths and proactively convene the right stakeholders to ensure timely decisions are made.
- Make hard decisions, knowing when to make a call versus delegating upwards.
