Role Overview

Store Associate | MAF Retail | Supermarket (Express) UAE

Role Purpose

The Store Associate ensures efficient operation of selling and storage areas by maintaining product availability, organizing shelves and displays, supporting receiving and cash office activities, and delivering excellent customer service. The role contributes to achieving sales targets, maintaining accurate product presentation and pricing, and ensuring compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Product Management & Display

• Receive, check, replenish, and display products according to company standards and planograms.
• Ensure shelves are organized, clean, well-stocked, and correctly priced and labeled.
• Support stock management activities and identify slow-moving or near-expiry items.

Customer Service

• Assist customers with product inquiries and provide excellent customer service.

Receiving & Warehouse Operations

• Support receiving operations while following company procedures and safety regulations.

Cash Office & Payment Processing

• Assist at cash counters by scanning products, processing payments, and packing purchases.
• Perform cash handling, reconciliation, and security procedures accurately.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Maintain hygiene, safety, and operational standards across store and warehouse areas.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6-12 months of commercial or retail experience.
• Experience in retail, supermarket, hypermarket, customer service, cashier, or stock handling environments.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge is preferred.
