Stakeholder Manager

Role Overview

WSP is seeking an experienced Stakeholder Manager to join the Transport & Infrastructure team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will lead stakeholder engagement activities across major infrastructure and transportation design projects, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and collaboration between project teams, government authorities, utility providers, clients, and key project stakeholders.

Role Purpose

To contribute to some of the Kingdom's most ambitious transport and infrastructure developments while supporting project delivery through proactive stakeholder management and relationship building.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement stakeholder management and communication strategies for major transport and infrastructure projects.
• Identify, map, analyze, and maintain stakeholder registers throughout the project lifecycle.

Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with government entities, municipalities, regulatory authorities, utility providers, clients, and community representatives.
• Act as the primary liaison between project teams and external stakeholders.
• Negotiate, influence, and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders in complex project environments.

Engagement & Coordination

• Coordinate stakeholder meetings, workshops, presentations, and consultation sessions.
• Facilitate approvals, permits, and coordination requirements with relevant authorities and utility agencies.
• Support project teams in obtaining stakeholder buy-in for design solutions and project initiatives.

Issue & Risk Management

• Manage stakeholder risks, issues, and concerns, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where appropriate.
• Monitor stakeholder commitments and ensure actions are tracked and closed effectively.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare stakeholder engagement reports, correspondence, meeting minutes, and executive-level updates.

Collaboration & Compliance

• Collaborate closely with project managers, design managers, discipline leads, and clients to support successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, project governance frameworks, and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Saudi National.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in stakeholder management, stakeholder coordination, or external affairs.
• Demonstrated experience working on large-scale transport and infrastructure design projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
• Previous experience with an engineering consultancy is highly preferred.
• Proven track record engaging with public sector authorities, municipalities, transport authorities, utility providers, and regulatory bodies.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure and transportation project lifecycles from planning through design and delivery.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities within complex project environments.
