Role Overview

Sr Technology Engineer - CI/CD/OpenShift at GSSTech Group, supporting a prestigious banking client.

Role Purpose

Design, implement, and manage enterprise CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration infrastructure to drive operational excellence, security, and reliability for a leading financial institution.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD Pipeline Design & Implementation

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, Nexus IQ, and other DevOps tooling.
• Develop and optimize GitHub Actions for application deployment.
• Write and maintain efficient Groovy scripts for pipeline automation.
• Implement Pipeline as Code and Shared Library patterns.

Security & Image Management

• Enforce security best practices throughout the CI/CD process including Image Signing, Image Scanning, and Checkmarx integration.
• Manage security scanning and compliance validation in pipeline stages.

Container Orchestration & Deployment

• Manage and deploy applications using HelmCharts and ArgoCD.
• Implement GitOps principles for seamless application deployment.
• Ensure high availability and reliability across deployments.

Observability & Logging

• Manage robust logging mechanisms using ELK or Splunk stacks.
• Monitor pipeline performance and application health.

Troubleshooting & Optimization

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Provide innovative solutions to ensure stability and performance.
• Optimize resource utilization and deployment processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with teams for capacity planning, resource management, and vendor management.
• Build and nurture strong business relationships with stakeholders.
• Ensure seamless operations and alignment with project objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong hands-on, real-time experience with Linux.
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD processes and tools including Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, and Nexus IQ.
• Strong hands-on experience with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence.
• Strong hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Pipeline as Code and Shared Library implementations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Groovy scripting.
• Strong hands-on experience with HelmCharts and ArgoCD.
• Strong hands-on experience with logging stacks including ELK and Splunk.
• Strong hands-on experience with Image Signing, Image Scanning, and Checkmarx.
• Expert problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.
• Experience in capacity planning, resource management, and vendor management.
• Experience building business relationships and stakeholder management.
• Preferred: Previous experience in banking or financial services with deep understanding of compliance, security, and operational excellence in regulated environments.
