Sr. Project Manager - Infrastructure

Role Overview

Sr. Project Manager - Infrastructure at Al Shirawi Group. The role involves leading, managing, and delivering infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.

Role Purpose

Ensure timely execution, cost control, quality compliance, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across infrastructure projects while coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Lead large-scale infrastructure projects including roads, utilities, water, drainage, sewerage, bridges and related works.
• Manage projects from initiation through completion.
• Deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Manage multiple work fronts simultaneously.

Technical Expertise & Execution

• Manage projects involving stormwater drainage, sewerage networks, potable water networks, irrigation networks, fire fighting networks, electrical and telecom duct networks.
• Oversee utility diversions and protection activities.
• Direct trenching, shoring, dewatering, over pumping, HDD, pipe jacking and microtunneling operations.
• Apply knowledge of soil classifications in project execution.
• Manage traffic diversions.
• Ensure compliance with IFC drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, QA/QC and HSE requirements.

Stakeholder & Commercial Management

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Manage utility coordination, NOCs and authority approvals.
• Lead stakeholder management activities.
• Manage subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and site teams.
• Manage FIDIC contracts, variations, claims and commercial matters.

Planning & Control

• Establish and execute project plans and schedules.
• Monitor progress against plan.
• Control costs and maintain budget adherence.
• Identify, assess and manage project risks.

Leadership & Standards

• Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Apply knowledge of local authority requirements and infrastructure standards in the UAE, preferably RTA ROW in Dubai.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of trenching, shoring, dewatering, over pumping, HDD, pipe jacking and microtunneling.
• Familiar with soil classifications.
• Thorough knowledge of traffic diversions.
• Strong understanding of IFC drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and site teams.
• Strong skills in planning, scheduling, cost control, progress monitoring and risk management.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with FIDIC contracts, variations, claims and commercial management preferred.
• Good knowledge of local authority requirements and infrastructure standards in the UAE, preferably RTA ROW in Dubai.
