SR ESTIMATION ENGINEER

Role Overview

Senior Estimation Engineer at NMDC Group, responsible for preparation of all offshore estimation for various proposals within the Contracts & Proposals Department.

Role Purpose

Develop comprehensive offshore construction cost estimates and manage technical and commercial inputs for proposal submissions. Coordinate cross-functional teams to validate estimation data and ensure alignment with company strategy, standards, and market benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

Estimation & Costing

• Prepare all offshore estimation for various proposals within Contracts & Proposals Department.
• Develop offshore construction cost estimates, including commercial and technical inputs, clarifications and qualifications.
• Prepare and finalize technical and commercial offshore inputs in consultation with Estimation Manager or Estimation Director based on strategy meeting decisions.

Project & Tender Analysis

• Review tender documents to understand project scope, specifications and execution requirements.
• Attend clarification meetings with clients to address technical and commercial issues.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and construction teams to collect and validate data for manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontracting inputs.
• Provide input to project scheduling and resource planning.

Standards & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain updated knowledge of benchmarks, cost norms, productivity standards and market trends.
• Ensure execution of estimation strategies, adherence to department objectives and compliance with company HSE and quality standards.
• Support the enhancement of estimation tools, norms, and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical, or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in offshore construction estimation in the Oil & Gas industry.
