Role Purpose

To deliver an exceptional retail experience by welcoming and assisting guests in a courteous and professional manner that reflects the attraction's values. The Retail Specialist is responsible for processing accurate point-of-sale transactions, providing knowledgeable product recommendations, and actively supporting the cross-promotion of the attraction's activities and offerings to enhance the overall guest experience and drive revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service

• Welcome and greet guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner in line with the attraction's values and service standards.
• Assist guests with product inquiries, providing accurate and knowledgeable information to support purchasing decisions.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally, escalating to the supervisor when necessary.

Sales & Revenue

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently through the point-of-sale (POS) system, including cash, card, and digital payment methods.
• Actively cross-sell and upsell retail products to maximize sales opportunities and enhance the guest experience.
• Promote and cross-sell the attraction's wider activities, experiences, and offerings to encourage guest participation and increase overall revenue.
• Achieve individual and store sales targets.
• Contribute to revenue growth through effective product promotion and upselling.

Inventory & Merchandising

• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail space, ensuring products are correctly displayed and shelves are fully stocked.
• Monitor and replenish stock levels, reporting low inventory to the relevant supervisor in a timely manner.
• Participate in stock counts, audits, and inventory checks as required.
• Support inventory control and stock accuracy to minimize losses and shrinkage.

Operations & Compliance

• Process returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policy.
• Adhere to all cash handling procedures and ensure till accuracy at the opening and closing of each shift.
• Ensure compliance with company policies regarding cash handling and financial transactions.
• Comply with all health, safety, and operational policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in retail operations, sales, or customer service.
• Experience in inventory management, merchandising, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
