Spa Therapist position at Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort, a luxury overwater resort located on the Arabian Gulf in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

Role Purpose

To deliver exceptional spa treatments and wellness services to guests while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, professionalism, and operational excellence as defined by Anantara's Standard Operations Manual and training protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Experience

• Create a positive first impression by greeting guests warmly and by name.
• Answer all questions related to spa services and identify treatment benefits or advantages required by guests.
• Establish good relationships and rapport with guests and colleagues.
• Politely confirm guest name, treatment appointment time, and cancellation policy before ending phone conversations.
• Cover reception duties as required.

Treatment Delivery

• Perform quality massage therapies and body treatments as prescribed in the Standard Training Manual.
• Assess clients' needs and recommend suitable treatments.
• Ensure aftercare recommendations are made at the end of every treatment, linking with guest concerns and offering to prepare products at reception for purchase.

Sales & Business Development

• Upsell spa treatments and retail products to guests.
• Encourage guests to return to the spa by recommending an ongoing treatment program.
• Cross-sell other business centers within the spa.

Operations & Maintenance

• Ensure all equipment is serviced and functions properly.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in work areas.
• Update the Therapist Logbook.
• Schedule appointments to ensure staff availability to handle all bookings or coordinate with other spas for assistance.
• Report for duty punctually and prepared in advance of treatments.
• Wear the correct uniform with name badge at all times.

Training & Compliance

• Participate in new training and refreshing programs as required.
• Attend all online training programs assigned by spa product brands.
• Have complete understanding of and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Have complete understanding of and adhere to company policies related to fire, hygiene, health, and safety.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.

Additional Duties

• Assist with demonstrations and events as required.
• Assist in other areas of the hotel as required.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
• Complete all assignments by stated deadlines in accordance with spa manager or supervisor guidelines.
• Respond to changes as indicated by the company.
