Role Overview

Sous Chef at Hilton. The role involves leading daily kitchen operations and delivering memorable guest experiences through culinary excellence and team leadership.

Role Purpose

Lead daily kitchen operations while providing hands-on coaching to kitchen staff and fostering cross-department collaboration to ensure seamless service and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Culinary Team Leadership

• Provide hands-on leadership and in-the-moment coaching to kitchen staff with focus on either Outlets or Banquets
• Lead culinary team operations and spread the light and warmth of hospitality through memorable experiences

Production & Service Management

• Manage daily kitchen operations, including creating and monitoring production lists
• Complete line checks during service periods
• Expedite service periods to maintain operational flow
• Oversee production and service across all kitchen stations

Menu Development & Enhancement

• Develop and implement seasonal menus
• Create promotional features and daily specials
• Enhance menu offerings to drive guest satisfaction

Cross-Department Collaboration

• Foster strong, positive relationships between Front of House and Back of House teams
• Promote cross-department collaboration to ensure seamless operations

Administrative & Compliance

• Assist with inventory management and ordering
• Manage kitchen scheduling
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Uphold alcohol awareness regulations
• Ensure the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing
