Role Purpose

Provide technical and construction supervision support on civil and structural works. Assist the Package Manager and Resident Engineer in day-to-day administration of project activities, including review of contractor submissions, site inspections, and verification of compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Submission and Document Review

• Review civil and structural shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, RFIs, Technical Queries (TQs), and other project-related submissions.
• Assist in the review of civil and structural shop drawings, method statements, and corrective actions for compliance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
• Experience in reviewing contractor submissions, shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals.

Site Inspection and Monitoring

• Monitor construction activities to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Perform site inspections, witness testing activities, and attend and carry out inspection requests submitted by contractors.
• Identify and report construction defects, non-conformances, and deviations from approved documents.

Construction Administration and Compliance

• Assist the Project Manager and/or Resident Engineer in carrying out contractual responsibilities associated with the project.
• Assist in review of contractor progress, quality performance, and compliance with approved methodologies.
• Provide technical support in resolving civil and structural engineering issues arising during construction.
• Ensure that health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements are implemented within assigned areas of responsibility.

Coordination and Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with interface manager and other engineering disciplines to resolve design and construction interface issues.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, utility authorities, and project stakeholders as required.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain records of inspections, technical comments, and observations.
• Support the preparation of technical reports, site instructions, and engineering recommendations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
• 12+ years of experience in civil and structural engineering design review and/or construction supervision of infrastructure, buildings, industrial, commercial, or utility projects.
• Good understanding of reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations, and associated civil infrastructure works.
• Familiarity with applicable international codes and standards, including ACI, BS EN, ASTM, and QCS requirements.
• Understanding of local authority, utility, QatarEnergy, Kahramaa, and RLIC requirements applicable to civil and structural works.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• MME registration is preferred.
