Role Overview

Shift Leader (Lifestyle Bartender) at Marriott Al Forsan. This is a bartending role focused on creating memorable, unique guest experiences through craft beverage expertise and attentive hospitality.

Role Purpose

To craft and serve beverages while building meaningful guest relationships and ensuring the bar operates flawlessly. The role extends beyond drink-making to broader guest service ownership, anticipating needs, and maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service

• Build relationships with guests and hotel colleagues to anticipate and deliver on guest needs.
• Take ownership of guest service more broadly and do what needs to be done.
• Use knowledge and expertise to make the bar look and function flawlessly.
• Stay current with new trends, micro-local beverage offerings, and evolving guest preferences.

Operations & Standards

• Maintain professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Create a safe workplace and follow all company policies and procedures.
• Protect company assets and ensure confidentiality.
• Manage cash and financial transactions with accuracy and integrity.
• Perform hands-on work including standing, moving, reaching, bending, and lifting objects weighing 25 pounds or less.
• Execute other reasonable job duties as requested.

Quality & Attention to Detail

• Deliver consistently high-quality drinks and service.
• Pay close attention to detail in financial management, guest communication, and beverage quality.
• Act as host of the bar space with genuine passion for guest experience.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.

Additional Information

• No supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.
• Physical demands: stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects; reach overhead and below the knees; bend, twist, pull, and stoop.
