Role Purpose

Maintain hotel infrastructure, systems, and facilities to the highest operational standards across all shifts. Respond to maintenance requests, execute preventative maintenance programs, and support engineering operations to ensure guest satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repairs

• Maintain the hotel in your qualified trade to the desired standard through shift inspection and rectification.
• Complete work orders as requested by the Chief Engineer to meet customer requirements.
• Carry out any minor repairs to guest rooms or public areas.
• Conduct general building minor maintenance repairs.
• Investigate reported faults for laundry and kitchen equipment.
• Carry pager and respond to requests from departments regarding minor maintenance issues throughout the day.

Preventative Maintenance & Inspections

• Implement and action the preventative maintenance program.
• Conduct lighting checks to ensure all globes are in working order.
• Ensure plant rooms are checked and cleaned and are in operating order.
• Ensure pool chemical level is in accordance with legislative requirements, is vacuumed and surrounding area maintained to standards established.

Systems & Infrastructure Management

• Demonstrate knowledge of Fire Alarm System network and ELV system network such as EBS, PA system, CCTV, and ANPR.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Fire Fighting System network, Kitchen hood Ansul system, and LPG monitoring system.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Dubai Municipality (DM) and Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) regulations.

Project & Work Coordination

• Initiate and identify project work required throughout the hotel.
• Liaise directly with departments regarding the completion of work orders and prioritise in order of guest satisfaction.
• Demonstrate flexibility in changing the work schedule in light of guest priorities.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 2 years prior experience in a similar role in a 4-star to 5-star property.
• Experience in AutoCAD.
