Role Purpose

Develop technical skills through formal training and work experience to deliver quality Lifecycle Services. Provide technical assistance to clients and perform or oversee field installations, commissioning, repairs, and overhauls of HMH drilling equipment in shop and field environments.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning

• Provide installation and commissioning services on HMH Lifecycle Services equipment in shop or field environment.
• Advise clients of modifications or upgrades to HMH Lifecycle Services equipment.

Troubleshooting & Repair

• Read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control system drawings and general electrical layouts.
• Provide troubleshooting and repair services on HMH Lifecycle Services equipment.
• Follow standard technical practices and procedures to analyze complex problems in the field.
• Provide solutions to diverse problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures.
• Exercise judgment based on previous experience, practices and precedents to identify and solve unique problems in the field.

Quality & Compliance

• Perform all work in accordance with HMH Lifecycle Services and client safety policies.
• Promote personal accountability for Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) by adhering to principles and guidelines outlined in HMH's HSSE governing policy.
• Impact the quality of own work by working within established procedures and guidelines.
• Stay current on information contained in Product and Safety Bulletins.
• Stay current on drilling procedures and ensure all work performed is handled according to procedures and guidelines.
• Document all services performed and actions carried out on service and time tickets.

Workshop & Overhaul Activities

• Participate in workshop and overhaul activities and coordinate with Overhaul Supervisor regarding workshop tasks and activities.
• Prepare recommended electrical spare parts list for overhaul and service projects at the workshop.
• Prepare accurate and detailed inspection reports after damage assessment and be accountable for all provided inputs in the report.
• Report any additional scope of work or variations from standard overhaul scope of work.

Reporting & Administration

• Upload all reports, timesheets, CSFs and expense reports to the job folder.
• Prepare inspection reports and damage assessments.

Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with Operations/DLS Manager and Service Account Manager for onsite required parts, materials, support, etc.
• Supervise subcontracted personnel.
• Provide informal guidance to less experienced colleagues.
• Support all company objectives.
• Interact with customers and other HMH personnel in a professional manner.
• Be guided by HMH Visions and Values in all activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education in Electrical Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in installation, overhauling and repair of Oil Drilling Equipment.
• Previous experience working on Iron Roughnecks and Automated Catwalks in both land and offshore environments.
• Factory training on drilling equipment, troubleshooting, and programming.

Skills & Competencies

• Demonstrated proficiency with technical concepts.
• Ability to read schematic and electrical layout drawings.
• Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Good understanding of electrical circuits and electrical schematics.
• Troubleshooting and repair of Oil Drilling Equipment or similar electrically operated equipment.
• Diagnose, investigate and provide solutions to moderately complex problems.
• Analytical skills and fault-finding ability.
• Communication skills to exchange moderately complex information typically within own team.
• Tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
• Ability to use communication skills to coordinate tasks effectively between different Groups/Departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
• Proficient in written and reading comprehension of English.
