Senior Technician - Maintenance

Role Overview

Senior Technician - Maintenance at Al Ghurair, responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of elevators, escalators, and vertical transport systems.

Role Purpose

To perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on elevator and escalator systems, conduct thorough inspections, diagnose and resolve faults, and ensure all equipment operates safely and in optimal working condition while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining comprehensive records.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair Operations

• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on elevators, escalators, and other vertical transport systems to ensure optimal working condition.
• Conduct thorough inspections of elevator systems to identify faults, wear and tear, and provide solutions for improvements.
• Perform necessary repairs, replacements, or modifications to restore equipment and systems to optimal operating condition.
• Troubleshoot elevators and escalators from major brands including Kone, Schindler, TKE, and Otis.
• Provide preventative maintenance services during callback visits to prevent future issues.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all work meets local elevator safety codes and industry regulations.
• Manage third-party inspections, provide assistance, and suggest rectification measures.
• Ensure reports include photos, serial numbers, readings, and customer signatures.

Records & Communication

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of service activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Complete necessary reports and communicate progress to relevant teams.
• Provide excellent customer service, including responding to client queries and informing them of maintenance progress or system status.

Collaboration & Sales Support

• Work closely with other technicians and departments to ensure effective maintenance planning and response to any issues.
• Support Supervisors and Engineers to achieve common goals.
• Explore opportunities for repair works during maintenance visits, thereby generating repair and modification leads.
• Follow up with the Sales Team for quote submission on identified opportunities.

On-Call Availability

• Be accessible for on-call duty, which may include responding to service requests during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
