Senior Technician - Maintenance

Role Overview

Senior Technician - Maintenance at Al Ghurair, responsible for maintaining and repairing vertical transport systems including elevators and escalators.

Role Purpose

Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on elevator and escalator systems, conduct inspections, execute repairs, and ensure all equipment operates safely and in accordance with industry regulations and local codes.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Inspection

• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on elevators, escalators, and other vertical transport systems to ensure optimal working condition.
• Conduct thorough inspections of elevator systems to identify faults, wear and tear, and provide solutions for improvements.
• Provide preventative maintenance services during callback visits to prevent future issues.

Repair & Troubleshooting

• Perform necessary repairs, replacements, or modifications to restore equipment or systems to optimal operating condition.
• Troubleshoot elevators and escalators in major brands including Kone, Schindler, TKE, Otis, and Mitsubishi.
• Manage third-party inspections, provide assistance, and suggest rectification.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of service activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Complete necessary reports and communicate progress to relevant teams.
• Ensure reports include photos, serial numbers, readings, and customer signatures.

Customer Service & Stakeholder Management

• Provide excellent customer service, including responding to client queries and informing them of maintenance progress or system status.
• Work closely with other technicians and departments to ensure effective maintenance planning and response to any issues.
• Support Supervisors and Engineers to achieve common goals.

Sales & Business Development

• Explore opportunities for repair works during maintenance to generate repair and modification leads.
• Follow up with the Sales Team for quote submission.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure that all work meets local elevator safety codes and industry regulations.

Additional Information

• Be accessible for on-call duty, which may include responding to service requests during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
