Senior Specialist - Civil Inspection

Role Overview

Senior Specialist - Civil Inspection at AD Ports Group. The role carries out required civil engineering inspections for all projects within AD Ports as part of the building permit function.

Role Purpose

To conduct comprehensive civil engineering inspections across all AD Ports projects, ensure contractor and consultant compliance with company and regulatory civil requirements, and maintain civil standards and safety protocols across multiple industrial construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

Inspections and Site Monitoring

• Conduct site civil inspections on different industrial under construction projects in Developers' Services Hub, ICAD, Khalifa Port, and Zayed Port industrial areas on a daily basis.
• Closely monitor site activities and site conditions on a daily basis to identify civil lapses of contractors.
• Review civil plans, method statements, and civil documentation received through MEPS system.

Compliance and Advisory

• Advise contractors and consultants on company and OSHAD civil requirements to ensure contractor and consultant commitment and compliance is in line with company site-specific civil requirements.
• Report identified civil lapses to the concerned consultant and contractor for corrective and preventive actions.

Performance Management and Development

• Monitor and analyze civil performance and develop civil culture.
• Conduct internal civil and quality inspections, audits, and in-house training.

Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare daily and weekly tracker logs.

Incident Investigation

• Coordinate with consultant and contractor and investigate accident cases with AD Ports Group civil team to prepare final accident investigation report.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate and communicate with project management control team including consultant and contractor regarding compliance of civil requirements in construction sites.
• Participate in welfare and incentive schemes organized by the contractor.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Civil Engineer.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in construction industry as Civil Engineer professional.
• OSHAD OSH certificate.
• IMS Awareness Session for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018.
• Environmental Management System Internal Audit (ISO 14001:2015).
• Quality Management System Internal Audit (ISO 9001:2015).
• Occupational Health and Safety Management System Internal Audit (OHSAS 18001:2007).
• IOSH Managing Safety.
• OSHA Construction Safety.
• Basic Fire Fighting.
• Basic First Aid.
