Senior Renewables Energy Engineer (Expression of Interest) with Surbana Jurong Group for upcoming energy and infrastructure projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Role Purpose

Provide technical leadership for Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from feasibility through to delivery, ensuring robust design, performance optimization, and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Project Design & Engineering

• Lead feasibility studies, concept design, and detailed design for Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, calculations, and engineering deliverables.
• Perform solar energy yield and battery storage performance assessments.
• Review vendor proposals, technical submissions, and design documentation.

Stakeholder & Interface Management

• Coordinate grid connection requirements and multidisciplinary design interfaces.
• Liaise with clients, utilities, authorities, and contractors to support project delivery.

Project Delivery & Support

• Support procurement, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and project teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Power, Renewable Energy, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10–12 years of experience in renewable energy projects.
• Strong experience in Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Experience delivering utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Knowledge of grid connection requirements, power systems, and electrical design.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is highly desirable.
