Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor at JASARA PMC. The role manages all quantity surveying duties to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, working closely with project teams to provide accurate financial data, cost control, and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.

Role Purpose

Deliver accurate financial data, cost control, and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle while leading quantity surveying activities to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Management & Estimation

• Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
• Conduct cost control and budget management throughout the project duration.

Contract & Claims Administration

• Negotiate contracts and manage variations, claims, and disputes as they arise.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Site Monitoring

• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Carry out site visits to monitor progress and evaluate work against agreed cost and quality standards.

Team Leadership & Development

• Guide and mentor junior quantity surveyors, fostering their professional development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant quantity surveying experience (or minimum 5-7 years for Saudi).
• Professional qualification or membership (e.g., MRICS) preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with quantity surveying and project management software.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
