Senior Quality Control Technician

Role Overview

Senior Quality Control Technician at Hitachi Energy Ltd, located in Dammam, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia. Full-time position.

Role Purpose

Execute incoming inspection protocols with precision, document findings in SAP, and manage component compliance and supplier non-conformance processes to maintain quality standards and material traceability throughout the receiving inspection workflow.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Compliance

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of purchased parts, materials, samples, and assemblies.
• Execute attentively incoming inspection protocols as assigned.
• Create quality inspection records and apply visual indications on inspected parts as per procedures.
• Verify assembly documentation accuracy and read engineering drawings to support inspection decisions.

Documentation & Traceability

• Report all findings and results in SAP.
• Document inspection results as required.
• Create Nonconformity reports and keep track of status.
• Record and track daily IQC inspection backlog.
• Maintain traceability of component materials as to inspection status.
• Log and track materials through the receiving inspection process and SAP entries.
• Record transactions and move materials to accepted material area.

Supplier & Quality Management

• Perform labeling of all components with a component identification tag if components are compliant through inspection.
• Restrain components at the dedicated area when they fail inspection.
• Initiate the supplier non-conformance management process to report issues back to suppliers.
• Create Nonconformity reports and track their status.
• Support failure analysis, troubleshooting, site visits, reporting, and quality processes using the A3 template in analysis.

Communication & Collaboration

• Report to Quality Engineer or Quality Manager on any deviations observed during incoming inspection.
• Communicate inspection results to Quality Engineers and other relevant persons.
• Collaborate with other departments for deviation detection, root cause analysis, and correction measures implementation.

Health, Safety & Materials Handling

• Ensure a safe environment by implementing HSE requirements.
• Handle materials in accordance with procedures and prevent mix-ups, damage, or other adverse effects.

Additional Duties

• Perform any other projects or duties that may be assigned.
• Carry out any tasks assigned by management necessary to fulfill job requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical technical courses.
• 3–5 years' experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance.
• Knowledge to read drawings.
• Hands-on inspection of material and use of tools for measurement.
