Senior Project Manager

Role Overview

Senior Project Manager – Buildings at AtkinsRéalis. This is a hands-on construction phase leadership role requiring a minimum of 15 years' experience in Real Estate and Cost Management.

Role Purpose

Serve as the Construction phase lead and single focal point of contact between Client, consultants, and Construction Contractor(s), managing precontract tender close out, award, and all aspects of post-contract delivery of works packages while ensuring desired project objectives are delivered.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Management

• Manage and coordinate the inputs of project stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
• Provide the interface between project ownership and delivery.
• Network effectively, negotiate well and influence people, and broker relationships with stakeholders within and outside the project.
• Manage technical coordination meetings with subcontractors and project staff.

Design and Coordination

• Coordinate the building services design and execution between Engineering, Architectural and Civil/Structural disciplines.
• Initiate and manage building services designs to meet budget.
• Manage site planning and coordination issues.
• Provide technical input for offer requests and the awarding of infrastructure subcontracts.

Planning and Strategy

• Provide strategic planning advice in relation to the requirements for phasing of infrastructure works, the sequence of works and the necessary authority approval processes.
• Manage the building services site works in accordance with the approved Baseline Programme.

Tender and Contract Management

• Manage precontract tender close out, award and all aspects of the post contract delivery of the works packages.
• In conjunction with the Project Director and other Senior Project Managers, manage the tender assessment, negotiation and award of the contract.
• Operate within the constraints of the particular contract for which you have been appointed.

Quality and Compliance

• Apply quality management principles and processes.
• Apply risk assessment and management principles and processes.
• Manage the implementation of site based approval protocols to ensure that the infrastructure is completed in accordance with the design, specification and quality requirements.
• Perform duties diligently to the quality standards set by the Company and conform to the Company's policies and business systems.

Leadership

• Support and provide leadership to your project team.
• Direct meetings and introduce discussion to encourage thinking on the wider commercial context.
• Be responsible for the tasks assigned to members of your project team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 15 years post-qualification experience in Project Management.
• Minimum 5 years as a Senior PM with Buildings background.
• Experience on high-end real estate projects as a PM/SPM from inception to completion.
• Project Management experience with a leading PMC.
• Middle East experience required, preferably including Abu Dhabi.
