Role Purpose

Oversee mechanical engineering activities, lead engineering teams, and partner with other departments to ensure mechanical designs and systems are developed and implemented according to project specifications and industry best practices. Drive innovation, efficiency, and quality across mechanical engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead a talented team of engineers and mentor junior engineers.
• Manage engineering teams on complex projects.
• Provide technical guidance to team members.

Project Management

• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Represent the mechanical department in project meetings.

Technical Oversight & Design

• Oversee development and implementation of mechanical designs and systems according to project specifications.
• Provide expertise in mechanical systems design, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with other departments to align mechanical engineering outcomes with broader project goals.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• At least 10 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven experience managing engineering teams and complex projects, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sectors.
• Solid understanding of local building codes, regulations, and sustainability practices.
• Mechanical Professional Engineering License is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in relevant engineering design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and quality assurance processes.
