Senior Manager - Data Privacy

Role Overview

Senior Manager - Data Privacy at Majid Al Futtaim, based at Head Office supporting MAF Entertainment. The role encompasses responsibility, accountability and oversight of data privacy compliance, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, internal policies and industry best practices across all of the company's operating countries.

Role Purpose

Serve as the Data Privacy Officer and principal advisor on lawful, ethical data processing across all operating countries, leading the organization's privacy compliance strategy, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Privacy Governance & Policy

• Implement and maintain data privacy policies, procedures, and frameworks aligned with local regulations.
• Maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) and conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and privacy risk assessments.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Monitor regulatory changes and assess risks, updating policies proactively.
• Act as the main contact for regulators, managing audits and data protection inquiries.
• Oversee incident management and data subject requests, ensuring compliance and proper resolution.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Culture

• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, InfoSec, and business units to align on data protection strategies.
• Lead privacy training, workshops, and awareness initiatives to promote a privacy-first culture.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data privacy.
• Relevant certifications such as CIPM or CIPP/E (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

Skills & Competencies

• Experience with data protection tools (for example, Securiti.AI is a plus).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written English.
• Self-motivated, professional, proactive, and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic.
