Senior Logistics Executive - Central Logistics

Role Overview

Senior Logistics Executive – Central Logistics at Apparel Group. The role provides support to internal brand teams for all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring customs clearance and on-time delivery to warehouses and stores using the most cost-effective means.

Role Purpose

Manage and coordinate all logistics operations for inbound and outbound shipments, including supplier contact, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and cost optimization to deliver goods on schedule to designated locations.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier & Freight Coordination

• Establish contact with suppliers and agents for cargo pickup following alignment with the Brand team.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders to arrange collection for import and re-export shipments.
• Follow up with freight forwarders until goods delivery at the warehouse or stores.
• Invite freight quotes from multiple service providers and prepare cost comparisons for ad hoc shipments.

Operations & Transport Management

• Facilitate the movement of stocks (inbound and outbound) using the most cost-efficient means of transport.
• Optimize lead times to achieve the earliest possible delivery.

Documentation & Customs

• Generate shipping documents for outbound shipments to GCC and local exports to UAE.
• Process BOE (Bill of Entry) and make customs duty payments for all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Validate all customs BOE and freight invoices.

Financial & Process Management

• Handover validated invoices to finance for payment processing in a timely manner to prevent shipment delays.

• Key stakeholder relationships include Brand Manager, Merchandiser, Logistics Executive, Dubai Customs, Dubai Trade, and Manager – Central Logistics.
