Senior I&C Engineer – Operations and Maintenance

Role Overview

Senior I&C Engineer – Operations and Maintenance at Wood PLC in Sharjah, UAE. This is a full-time position reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager.

Role Purpose

Provide day-to-day I&C Engineering support for site operations to deliver safe, reliable and compliant operations. Collaborate with the site-based team to ensure identified longer-term engineering solutions are progressed to appropriate teams to reduce risk and grow production.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Support

• Perform day-to-day I&C Engineering support to deliver immediate operations support, working closely with the site team to resolve issues under the direction of the Operations Engineering Manager.
• Provide I&C Engineering support to technical Management of Change (MoCs) and Engineering Queries (EQs).
• Write, review and recommend technical input into Site Operations Procedures (SOPs).

Risk Management

• Ensure that asset I&C Engineering risks are understood, appropriately risk assessed, and actions driven to reduce risk within agreed timeframes.
• Monitor I&C Engineering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and initiate corrective action as necessary.

Asset Monitoring and Optimization

• Define I&C Engineering operating envelopes, monitor health of static I&C Engineering equipment using operating envelopes, and record and investigate excursions outside operating envelopes.
• Identify production vulnerabilities and optimization opportunities to support production forecast and growth.

Technical Support and Development

• Provide I&C Engineering coaching to Client engineers.
• Generate, revise and review discipline Technical Documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline and/or equivalent relevant professional qualification.
• Professional accreditation: Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer.
• Significant experience in an Operations I&C Engineering support role.
• Advanced technical knowledge and experience in engineering, with sound knowledge of the relevant industry codes, standards and regulations, and the ability to initiate guidance on the appropriate designs and systems to prevent, control and mitigate risks.
• Sound stakeholder management experience.
