Role Overview

Senior HAM Developer at TAWANTECH. The role focuses on developing, configuring, implementing, and maintaining Hardware Asset Management solutions within ServiceNow to manage hardware assets throughout their lifecycle, improve asset visibility, optimize costs, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.

Role Purpose

Deliver end-to-end Hardware Asset Management solutions using ServiceNow HAM Pro, managing the complete hardware asset lifecycle from procurement through disposal, integrating with enterprise IT service management modules, and automating processes to improve operational efficiency and asset visibility.

Key Responsibilities

Development and Configuration

• Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) solutions.
• Implement and maintain ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management Professional (HAM Pro) capabilities.
• Configure hardware asset models, model categories, asset records, stockrooms, and inventory management processes.
• Configure and maintain workflows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Flow Designer, and other ServiceNow components.

Lifecycle and Operations Management

• Manage the complete hardware asset lifecycle, including procurement, receiving, deployment, maintenance, transfer, and disposal.
• Support hardware asset discovery, reconciliation, inventory tracking, and data quality management.
• Automate hardware asset management processes to improve operational efficiency.

Integration and Data Management

• Integrate HAM with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, Procurement, and other IT service management modules.
• Support asset-to-CI reconciliation and data imports using transform maps.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HAM-related technical and configuration issues.

Reporting and Documentation

• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards for hardware inventory, asset utilization, lifecycle status, and compliance.
• Prepare technical documentation and support hardware asset audits and compliance activities.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with IT asset management, procurement, finance, infrastructure, and service desk teams.
• Support testing, deployment, upgrades, integrations, and ongoing platform maintenance.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, with strong experience in Hardware Asset Management.
• Practical experience implementing and configuring ServiceNow HAM Pro.
• Strong understanding of hardware asset lifecycle management and IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes.
• Experience with hardware asset models, model categories, stockrooms, inventory, and asset relationships.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and asset-to-CI reconciliation.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and hardware asset compliance requirements.
• Experience with hardware inventory audits, stockroom operations, and asset lifecycle reporting.

Additional Information

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Hardware Asset Management (CIS-HAM), where applicable.
• Experience with ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Familiarity with procurement, purchase orders, vendor management, and contract processes.
• Knowledge of IT asset management best practices and ITIL frameworks.
