Senior Executive -Marketing Technology Operations (MarTech)
Chalhoub Group
Job description
Role Overview
Senior Executive β Marketing Technology Operations (MarTech) at Chalhoub Group. The role is the operational and technical control point for the marketing technology ecosystem, combining hands-on platform capability with structured service management across the Group's luxury retail business.
Company Overview
Chalhoub Group is a luxury retail partner and creator of experiences in the Middle East with over seven decades of heritage. The Group operates a hybrid luxury retail model with a portfolio of over 10 owned brands and distribution for over 400 international names across luxury fashion, beauty, jewellery, watches, eyewear, and art de vivre. It delivers seamless omnichannel experiences across more than 950 stores, online platforms, and mobile apps. The Group employs over 16,000 professionals across eight countries in the Middle East and has a presence in LATAM. The Group is committed to sustainability, is a member of the United Nations Global Compact, a signatory of the Women's Empowerment Principles, and has pledged to reach Net Zero by 2040.
Role Purpose
The MarTech Operations Senior Executive diagnoses issues, resolves configuration-level problems, routes engineering defects to accountable teams, and ensures marketing platforms remain connected, measurable, healthy and scalable. The role enables Brand, CRM and channel teams to operate effectively while protecting clear ownership boundaries across Product, Tech, Data, InfoSec and external/offshore support. This is not a campaign execution role.
Key Responsibilities
MarTech Service Management and Technical Triage
- Own the MarTech Jira intake process, assess priority and business impact, and ensure every request has a clear owner and next action.
- Diagnose the likely failure layer before routing work, resolving configuration-level issues directly and routing code, pipeline, API or source-system defects to Product, Tech or Data.
- Manage ticket ageing, SLA adherence and escalation, and turn recurring incidents into permanent fixes or self-service guidance.
Measurement, Tagging and Event Health
- Configure GA4 properties and data streams, and build, QA and publish Google Tag Manager tags, triggers and variables.
- Implement and validate marketing events across GA4, Firebase, Adjust, Meta and other paid-media platforms.
- Monitor event health for missing, duplicated or degraded signals, and translate business measurement needs into clear technical specifications.
Platform Operations and Technical Enablement
- Maintain hands-on knowledge of the core MarTech stack, including Google Ads / Merchant Center, Meta Business Manager, Smartly, TikTok, Snap, Supermetrics, Channable and SFMC integration concepts.
- Maintain technical documentation and standards that allow Brand teams to self-serve routine activities.
Product Feeds, Connectors and Data Compatibility
- Own the technical configuration between source product feeds, Channable/Smartly and downstream marketing platforms.
- Define group-wide feed and mapping standards, and monitor feed health, SKU coverage and rejections.
Launch, Change and Readiness Assurance
- Represent MarTech Operations in new site, app, brand and platform-change workstreams.
- Validate tracking, feeds and platform connectivity before go-live and provide MarTech readiness sign-off.
Automation and Continuous Improvement
- Identify manual checks and repeated support tasks that can be automated or standardised.
- Use SQL and AI-assisted tooling to speed up troubleshooting, documentation and technical analysis.
Skills & Competencies
Essential Technical Skills
- Query, join and validate datasets in SQL for diagnosis.
- Implement, QA, debug and configure events in Google Tag Manager and GA4.
- Understand the flow from site or app event to dataLayer, GTM and platform endpoint, and isolate where a signal fails.
- Configure conversion tracking, pixel and dataset setup, feed connectivity and event diagnostics in Google Ads / Merchant Center and Meta Business Manager / Events Manager.
- Configure product feeds and connectors including Channable and Supermetrics, including feed mappings, connector configuration and health checks.
- Use LLMs and AI tools to speed up troubleshooting, while validating the output.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Experience with Adjust, Firebase, Smartly, TikTok / Snap tracking and Accutics.
- Working knowledge of SFMC integrations, REST APIs and HTTP.
- JavaScript, BigQuery and API security fundamentals.
Behavioural Competencies
- Demonstrate technical curiosity and a structured, evidence-based approach to troubleshooting.
- Drive issues to resolution without absorbing work that belongs to another team.
- Work comfortably with Jira, prioritisation, SLAs and escalation.
- Communicate clearly between Brand stakeholders and Product, Tech and Data teams.
- Understand the commercial impact of tracking, feed and platform issues, and look for automation and self-service over repeated manual support.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in MarTech, AdTech, digital analytics or a closely related technical marketing role.
- Hands-on implementation or troubleshooting across several of the listed platforms; transferable technical depth matters more than an exact platform match.
- Experience working across Marketing and technical teams, ideally in a multi-brand, multi-market or ecommerce environment.
- A computer science or engineering degree is not essential where equivalent hands-on experience can be shown.
Additional Information
- Assessments and interviews should be completed independently and without assistance from generative AI tools.
- Chalhoub Group is committed to inclusion and diversity and welcomes all applicants without regard to gender, age, race, religion, national origin or disability status.
- The Group offers a competitive benefits package including health care, child education contribution, remote and flexible working policies and exclusive employee discounts.
- Learning and development opportunities and exposure to different assignments within the role or through internal mobility are available.
