Role Overview
Senior Electrical Engineer (Greenfield) at Wood PLC, located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This is a graduate-level opportunity for UAE Nationals to begin their professional career within a leading global engineering consultancy.

Role Purpose
To contribute to electrical design, analysis, documentation and coordination activities on oil and gas and energy transition projects while developing technical, professional and leadership capabilities through structured graduate development and mentoring from experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Technical Delivery
- Assist in the preparation of electrical engineering deliverables including calculations, drawings, datasheets and specifications.
- Support electrical studies such as load lists, cable sizing, earthing, lighting and power distribution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable international codes, standards and client specifications.
Project Coordination
- Work closely with senior engineers to understand project requirements and execution strategies.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Participate in design reviews, workshops and risk assessments as required.
Professional Development
- Actively engage in graduate development, mentoring and training activities.
- Build a strong foundation in electrical engineering design and project execution.
- Develop technical competence through structured learning and on-the-job experience.
Project Support
- Support safe, high-quality and timely project delivery.
- Progress toward independent engineering responsibility over time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 12+ years of experience.
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
- UAE National status.
