Senior Consultant -Global Business Services- Managed Services

Role Overview

Senior Consultant – Global Business Services (GBS) Consulting, Managed Services and Transformation at KPMG UAE, based in Abu Dhabi. This is a Grade D2 position within Advisory – Managed Services, reporting to a Partner.

Role Purpose

Deliver Global Business Services and Shared Services Centre (SSC) advisory services, managed services, transformation and outsourcing solutions to clients across functional service operations. Lead the solutioning, transition and operation of outsourced SG&A and Service Operations functions.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Advisory

• Demonstrate hands-on expertise across planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Apply knowledge of cost accounting, cost drivers and allocation methodologies.
• Deliver strong accounting skills and understanding of journal entries for billing, accruals and adjustments.
• Support accounts reconciliation activities.

Shared Services and GBS Programme Delivery

• Support workstreams and mid-sized projects on delivery, project planning, budgeting and quality control.
• Evaluate client's current state and define Target Operating Models including business process design.
• Conduct functional maturity assessments, benchmarking and strategy development.
• Design target operating models for multifunctional back-office operations, including Finance, HR, IT, Procurement and other SG&A functions.
• Lead technology-enabled finance and back-office function transformation, including automation and digitization initiatives.
• Manage projects with strong focus on driving results, delivering on time and within budget.

Business Development and Strategy

• Support Directors and Partners in business development activities including pursuits for target clients.
• Develop proposals for GBS, Shared Services and Outsourcing Services.
• Collaborate with other KPMG teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support broader GBS and Shared Services strategy execution.
• Develop thought leadership and white papers on outsourcing and the future of work with minimal instructions.
• Conduct research for thought leadership and white papers on relevant topics.
• Support raising market awareness.
• Organize internal and external events.

Communication and Analysis

• Articulate business challenges clearly and explain proposed solutions through excellent written and verbal communication.
• Deliver strong analytical, MS Excel and Power BI skills for problem-solving.
• Create high-quality presentations using PowerPoint.
• Develop innovative solutions to complex business problems with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as business, finance or accounting from a top business school.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant consulting experience, preferably from a Big 4 or other large consulting or outsourcing firm.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, PMP or Six Sigma preferred.
