Senior Claims Manager

Role Overview

Senior Claims Manager at Saeed Raddad Group. This is a strategic management position focused on claims and dispute-related matters across construction and infrastructure projects.

Role Purpose

Protect the client's contractual and financial position through robust claims identification, preparation, and defense, while ensuring effective dispute avoidance and resolution across FIDIC, EPC contracts, concession agreements, joint ventures, and partnership structures.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Advise senior leadership on claims strategy and contractual positioning.
• Operate at both strategic and technical levels to drive organizational claims management.

Claims Management

• Lead claims identification, preparation, and defense across all projects.
• Develop and implement robust claims processes aligned with FIDIC and bespoke EPC contract frameworks.
• Manage major disputes on mega projects.
• Bridge legal, commercial, and technical aspects of claims throughout the dispute lifecycle.

Dispute Resolution

• Facilitate effective dispute avoidance and resolution strategies.
• Navigate arbitration processes including ICC, LCIA, and SCCA mechanisms.
• Ensure alignment with dispute mechanisms embedded in construction contracts including FIDIC.

Technical Expertise

• Drive claims preparation and negotiation with deep technical acumen.
• Apply advanced knowledge of Extensions of Time (EOT) and delay analysis principles.
• Manage variations, change management, disruption, and prolongation claims.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified Lawyer with LLB or equivalent from recognized jurisdiction.
• Admission to practice law strongly preferred.
• Postgraduate qualification in construction law, arbitration, or claims management highly required.
• Minimum 12–18 years of experience in construction law and claims management on major infrastructure, real estate, and EPC projects.
• Demonstrated experience with FIDIC contracts and complex, high-value claims and disputes.
• Track record of managing major disputes on mega projects.
• Experience in KSA/GCC strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Deep understanding of Extensions of Time (EOT) and delay analysis principles.
• Expert knowledge of variations, change management, disruption, and prolongation claims.
• Familiarity with arbitration processes including ICC, LCIA, SCCA, and similar mechanisms.
• Familiarity with dispute mechanisms under construction contracts including FIDIC.
• Ability to bridge legal, commercial, and technical aspects of claims.
